PRICE ELECTRIC is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator – Utility to support HDD operations across Central and Eastern Iowa. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and high-quality workmanship while maintaining organized worksites and compliant PPE use.

You will review project plans, set up bore rigs, operate Vermeer or Ditch Witch equipment, locate with DCI gear, and manage traffic control. A valid Class A CDL is required; company supports CDL training for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience operating HDD drilling equipment or as a locator is preferred.
• Ability to plan jobsite setups, follow plans, and use company tools.
• Valid Class A CDL, willingness to obtain/licensed training if needed.
• Strong safety focus and ability to work in a field environment.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and set up bore rigs and tooling per specs.
• Operate HDD equipment and locate drilling targets with locating gear.
• Keep equipment, trucks, and sites clean and organized; ensure safety policy adherence.
• Coordinate traffic control and assist with transport of equipment as needed.
