Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in PC-based software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Two years of college-level coursework in Business Math, Social Work, or related fields or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of social work or public-facing experience involving income assessment or asset evaluation.
• Proficient in basic business math and numeric data handling.
• Experience implementing contracts, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Interview residents and applicants to verify income and family composition for initial and continued eligibility for HCV/Section 8.
• Complete required certifications timely per policies and regulations.
• Process reported changes using CMHA software.
• Calculate monthly housing assistance payments, tenant rent, and utilities.
• Provide walk-in client support and respond to inquiries via multiple channels.
• Prepare correspondence and reports using MS Office and CMHA systems.
• Maintain records, estimate subsidies, and manage program requirements per SOPs.
• Engage with landlords and participants to gather necessary forms and statuses.
• Coordinate briefings and re-briefings for clarity on HCV/Section 8 programs.
