The position emphasizes accuracy, cross‑department coordination, and SME-level knowledge of the HCV program to serve residents and landlords effectively.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must understand HUD HCV regulations and GAAP requirements.
  • Experience with accounting software and advanced Excel is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and data interpretation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) and reconciliations with property owners.
  • Submit monthly HUD/VMS reports and perform prior month corrections as needed.
  • Monitor HCV revenue, expenses, variances, and forecasts using HUD tools.
  • Handle portability billing and ensure compliance for incoming/outgoing cases.
  • Prepare records and workpapers for audits and HUD requests.
  • Maintain general ledger, AP/AR, and month/year-end closings; support customers.
