Job summary

Insperity is seeking a detail‑oriented HCM Payroll Specialist I to deliver accurate payroll processing and exceptional client service. You will collect data, reconcile wage details, and process initial payrolls while engaging with internal resources to resolve issues.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; prior payroll service bureau experience is a plus. A High School Diploma is required, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1–2 years payroll service bureau operations experience.
• Customer service skills in a team environment.
• Communicates tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Proficient in design and delivery of concise and clear presentations.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to existing customer centric processes and procedures that drive delivery of premium service.
• Responds timely to customer requests and gathers required data.
• Collects new customer data timely, reconciles wage detail and processes initial payrolls.
• Leverages internal resources to provide exceptional client service and meets deadlines.
• Maintains schedule flexibility to accommodate client needs and escalates complex issues as needed.
• Supports processes and procedures to ensure SOC-1 compliance and scalable growth.
