As part of the Sales & Marketing team, you’ll help us solve challenges and succeed by understanding our clients' needs and tailoring solutions to deliver performance. This role is fully remote within the U.S., requiring availability five days a week during designated hours.

Position Overview

This role involves prospecting and developing business sales relationships with potential clients, closing new and expanded sales agreements. It targets medium-sized businesses (49-499 employees) in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment. Success depends on proactive prospecting, a consultative sales approach, persistence, and a strong understanding of our solutions' value.

Director of Sales

Responsibilities
  • Generate new business opportunities using industry knowledge and expertise
  • Schedule and present Paylocity services to prospects
  • Prepare proposals and follow up throughout the sales cycle
  • Organize and obtain documentation for client onboarding
  • Coordinate with internal departments for smooth client transition
  • Develop prospects via telemarketing, referrals, and contacts
  • Maintain relationships within the Broker channel and referral sources
  • Engage with existing customers to identify additional needs
  • Attend trade shows and events to promote services
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas
Education and Experience
  • HS diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of sales experience
  • Proven sales success and ability to thrive in competitive environments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office and internet
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting, standing, walking, and driving as needed
  • Manual dexterity for computer use
  • Visual, auditory, and touch senses
  • Job performed in a typical office environment
