Position Overview

The HCM Account Executive is responsible for prospecting and developing emerging market business sales relationships with potential clients and closing new and expanded sales agreements. The role involves working in a fast-paced, competitive, quota-driven environment, primarily targeting small businesses. Success in this role requires a consultative sales approach, excellent prospecting skills, persistence, and a passion for the product.

Location

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or your location of record within the U.S., with no in-office requirements. Availability during designated work hours is necessary.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Generate new business opportunities through various outreach methods.
  2. Present Paylocity services to prospective clients.
  3. Prepare and deliver proposals, follow-up, and facilitate client onboarding.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth client transitions.
  5. Develop prospects via telemarketing, referrals, and networking.
  6. Maintain relationships within the Broker channel and other referral sources.
  7. Engage with existing customers for additional service needs.
  8. Attend trade shows, conferences, and events.
  9. Achieve or exceed sales quotas.
Qualifications
  • HS diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience.
  • Proven sales success and ability to thrive in a competitive environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications.
Physical Requirements
  • Mobility for sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
  • Manual dexterity for operating a computer and small objects.
  • Sensory abilities to see, hear, and touch.
  • Ability to perform reading, writing, visualization, and analysis tasks.
