Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Human-Centered Design (HCD) Lead, UI/UX Researcher to join the Baltimore, Maryland office. You will lead HCD activities across the CMS CRM modernization lifecycle, conducting interviews, workshops, usability tests, and stakeholder sessions to translate user needs into concrete requirements.

You'll create personas, journey maps, and scenarios, refine screen prototypes, and ensure accessibility compliance, while partnering with product, architecture, and Agile teams to evolve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6-8 years of UX research and design experience or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of direct Interaction/Interface design using UCD methods.
• Minimum 3 years of formative usability tests and user research in formal/informal settings.
• Strong oral/written communication; digital portfolio of work required.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead HCD activities across the CRM modernization lifecycle including requirements, design, and sprint cycles.
• Gather input from CMS stakeholders through interviews, workshops, surveys, and observations.
• Derive business processes, analyze user needs, and define detailed CRM requirements.
• Elicit goals and user needs from CMS stakeholders and run discovery sessions.
• Create Personas, Journey Maps, and Scenarios of Use for CSR interactions.
• Refine screen prototypes and mock-ups for validation with stakeholders.
• Design and conduct formative user research in formal and informal settings.
• Document requirements, designs, and acceptance criteria for Agile stories.
• Present research findings and design recommendations to CMS and Leidos leadership.
• Collaborate with Product Manager and Agile teams to convert findings into backlog items.
