Job summary

DMI is seeking a Lead UX Designer in Baltimore to guide the UX strategy for the eMMA modernization program with the Maryland DoIT. You will lead research, create journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and ensure ADA accessibility across enterprise applications.

You will collaborate with product owners, developers, vendors, and stakeholders, establishing UX standards and delivering measurable user outcomes throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in UX Design, HCI, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, CS, or related field.
• 8+ years in UX/UI design, product design, or related discipline.
• Experience leading UX design for large-scale enterprise or government applications.
• Strong experience with user research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX strategy and design activities for the OIT program and related applications.
• Support Launchpad process with user-centered requirements and UX artifacts.
• Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and usability assessments.
• Develop user journeys, personas, process flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Translate business and technical requirements into accessible, user-centered experiences.
• Facilitate design sessions with business users and technical teams.
