Job summary

Clean Harbors in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Class A CDL Driver / Equipment Operator / Hazmat / Tanker to operate heavy and light trucks at customer sites and perform related non-driving duties for hazardous waste clean-up.

The role includes two-week paid academy training (out of state possible) with expenses covered by the company, travel/emergency response duties, and opportunities for growth within a leading environmental services provider.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Must pass a background check, drug test, and physical exam.
• Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, facial hair standards apply for respirator users.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed in a team setting.
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks and handle loading/unloading tasks.
• Perform manual labor on site to fulfill customer needs.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and reports; ensure DOT compliance.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis and assist with site remediation and hazardous material handling.
