Job summary

Umicore Group is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller/Material Coordinator to support plant operations with Stores inventory, SAP receipts, and coordination with maintenance and purchasing. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and cross-functional teamwork.

The position requires forklift certification, 3 years of inventory/warehouse experience, and strong Excel skills to track cycle counts and min/max levels. Onsite in Pasadena, TX with opportunities to improve processes and SOPs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent experience accepted in lieu of education.
• Safety and hazardous materials training completed or obtained.
• Minimum 3 years of inventory management and warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Maintenance and Purchasing to prioritize actions for plant operations.
• Manage Stores inventory in both onsite and offsite warehouses.
• Update consumptions and cycle counts to maintain stock for operations.
• Process SAP receipts for Stores and indirect purchases.
• Organize delivered items and notify ordering party upon receipt.
• Coordinate with offsite warehouse for pickups and drop-offs.
• Create Bill of Materials for shipments to offset warehouses or customers.
• Help develop SOPs for Stores inventory management.
• Monitor waste inventory levels with Environmental Engineer; schedule pickups.
• Back up Raw Materials Coordinator duties when required.
• Support customer shipments from offsite warehouses or at plant.
