Job summary

Umicore AG & Co. KG seeks a SC & P Operations Specialist / Supervisor in Pasadena, TX to oversee material control and inventory accuracy across on-site and off-site warehouses.

You will coordinate receipts in SAP, manage cycle counts, and support plant operations with purchasing and maintenance actions. The role requires 3 years in inventory management, forklift and hazmat certifications, strong Excel and communication skills, and the ability to multitask under pressure while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of education.
• Safety and hazardous materials training.
• 3 years of inventory management and warehouse experience.
• Forklift certified.
• Certified in the Transportation of Hazardous Materials and Dangerous Goods.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Basic mathematics, ability to create excel charts for tracking purposes.
• Strong inter-personal skills.
• Must be able to manage multiple deadlines with competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently and make decisions.
• Work well under pressure.
• Very detailed oriented.
• Ability to maintain relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with staff and customers.
• Capacity to multi-task and troubleshoot at the highest level.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize actions with Maintenance and Purchasing to support plant operations.
• Manage the Stores inventory in onsite and offsite warehouses.
• Update consumptions and cycle count Stores inventory to maintain a sufficient stock to support plant operations.
• Manage the receipts in SAP of all delivered items for Stores and indirect purchases.
• Organize delivered items and notify ordering party of receipt.
• Coordinate with offsite warehouse to schedule pickups and drop offs as appropriate.
• Manage the loading process and create Bill of Materials for shipments to offset warehouses or customers.
• Participate in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures for Stores inventory management.
• Coordinate with Environmental Engineer to monitor waste inventory levels within the plant. Schedule pickups, complete the waste manifests and manage loading.
• Back up all Raw Materials Coordinator duties as required.
• Support customer shipments from offsite warehouses or at plant if required.
• Collaborate with other logistics, warehouse and sales team members to create innovative solutions to track inventory, complete accurate cycle counts, and standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Participate and support annual physical inventories for site.
