Job summary

Hepaco a Clean Harbors company in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety-conscious team. This role will be active in the field responsible for hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

The position offers an hourly range of $19-$20, and includes a two-week paid Academy training out of state. Travel expenses are paid and per diem is provided, with on-call emergency response on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Requires passing a background check, drug test, and physical exam.
• On-call/emergency response requirement; may work weekends/holidays.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize health and safety by following all policies.
• Perform heavy lifting and strenuous physical labor as required.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and various tools.
• Use PPE properly, including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in various temperatures and outdoor conditions.
• Handle hazardous materials and assist in waste sampling when needed.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding; work extended hours.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
• Attend compliance and safety meetings.
