Hepaco, A Clean Harbors Company in Newburgh, IN seeks an Environmental Field Laborer to join a safety-focused team. You will perform hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials in the field.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical functions per key responsibilities.
• On-call; may work weekends/holidays; emergencies can extend beyond 8 hours (up to 12–24 hrs).
• Background check, drug test, and physical required by position.
• Facial hair standards per OSHA respirator requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following policies.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and tools, including vibration-producing tools.
• Wear and use PPE including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in varied temperatures and weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Handle hazardous materials and waste safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Assist in field sampling and calibration of meters.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and enter trucks/tanks.
• Be on-call for emergencies on rotating basis.
