Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician in Greensboro, NC. This role involves transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste using class A trucks, including roll-offs, tankers, and vans.

A typical schedule runs Monday through Friday with possible overnight shifts based on customer routes and requirements. Responsibilities include safe operation, DOT compliance, and maintenance of logs and manifests.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A commercial driver's license with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training on hire.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
• Performs LTL pickups and waste transports.
• Maintain driver documents such as logs, manifests, and trip reports.
• Comply with DOT hazmat regulations including placarding, loading, labeling.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Participate in Site Safety program and trainings.
