Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician to transport hazardous and non-hazardous wastes to generator sites in Pensacola, FL. The role requires operating Class A trucks, including roll-offs, tankers, and trailers, with a Monday–Friday schedule and possible 3–4 overnight shifts per week.

Responsibilities include safe loading, DOT compliance, completing logs and manifests, and using mobile applications for job data.

Qualifications

• A valid Class A commercial driver's license with HazMat and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training on hire.
• Experience with waste transport and DOT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and trailers.
• Perform LTL pickups and bulk/containerized waste collections.
• Maintain logs, permits, manifests, and trip reports.
• Ensure proper placarding and labeling per HAZMAT rules.
• Adhere to safety programs and site-specific procedures.
