Job summary

Republic Services in Lexington, SC is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician with a Class A CDL to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste using tractor-trailers and various trailers. The role involves pickup of bulk and containerized waste, with occasional straight-truck duties, and a Monday–Friday schedule with possible 3–4 overnight shifts for critical needs.

• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days from hire.
• Must pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks including roll-offs, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
• Perform LTL pickups and waste manifest maintenance.
• Comply with DOT regulations for hazardous waste handling and placarding.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure vehicle safety.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction and maintain site housekeeping.
• Participate in site safety programs and related training.
