Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a HazMat Field Driver/Technician based in Anchorage, AK. The role involves operating a Class A tractor-trailer and various trailers to collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste from different sites.

Expect 3–4 overnight shifts per week with weekends/holidays off except for occasional critical needs. Key duties include DOT regulation compliance, safe vehicle operation, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A required with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Pass 40-hour HAZWOPER Training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A tractors, roll-offs, tankers, and other trailers.
• Perform LTL pickups and waste manifest handling.
• Maintain driver documentation (logbooks, trip reports, permits).
• Adhere to DOT regulations for hazardous waste transport and labeling.
