Job summary

Maine Oxy in Virginia Beach seeks a Regional Delivery Driver – Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement to deliver helium and other specialty gases on a scheduled route. The position involves overnight travel 2-3 nights per week with hotels provided and weekend variations.

The role includes pre- and post-trip inspections, safe handling of hazardous cargo, and maintaining accurate documentation while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 1 year driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 years
• CDL A License with HazMat

Responsibilities

• Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and documents deficiencies
• Safely delivers helium cylinders to customers and returns empty cylinders to fill plant
• Loads/unloads trailers and operates forklift and pallet jack as needed
• Maintains hazmat load manifests and shipping documents before/after deliveries
• Establishes strong customer relations and ensures cylinder levels meet customer needs

Job Details: Job Location: Virginia Beach - Virginia Beach, VA, Position Type: Full-Time, Salary Range: $28.00 - $29.00 Hourly, Maine Oxy has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Regional Delivery Driver – Class A CDL with a HazMat Endorsement. Jump in with a $3k sign on bonus!

Home on the weekends!This position is responsible for driving atractor trailer loaded with Helium compressed gas cylinders to deliver to customers on scheduled route. Associate will work on a 60hr/ 7-day schedule.

A typical work week is Monday – Friday (may include weekends during peak season)

This position will include overnighting for 2-3 nights per week or per month depending on the delivery area being covered - hotels provided!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working order
• Safely delivers helium cylinders to customers; returns empty cylinders to fill plant
• Fill helium cylinders at the plant and assist in loading and unloading trailers as needed
• Maintains hazmat load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after all deliveries
• Establishes and maintains great customer relations by communicating in person with customers
• Identifies and monitors customer needs and works with them to maintain proper cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries
• Operates a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
• Complies with all DOTand OSHA regulations
• Maintains appropriate driver'slicense and certifications/endorsements
• Other duties and projects as assigned
