Job summary

Maine Oxy is seeking a Regional Delivery Driver – Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement to deliver helium cylinders on a scheduled route in North Carolina. Expect a 60-hour/7-day schedule with overnight stays 2-3 nights per week, and hotels provided.

Home on weekends and a $3k sign-on bonus are offered. The role includes pre- and post-trip inspections, hazmat documentation, customer liaison, forklift operation, and strict DOT/OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 years.
• CDL A License with HazMat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and documents deficiencies.
• Delivers helium cylinders to customers and returns empty cylinders to fill plant.
• Loads/unloads trailers and operates forklift and pallet jack as needed.
• Maintains hazmat load manifests and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
• Establishes and maintains good customer relations through in-person communication.
• Monitors customer needs and cylinder levels to minimize emergency deliveries.
• Complies with all safety rules, plus DOT and OSHA regulations.

Maine Oxy has an IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Regional Delivery Driver – Class A CDL with a HazMat Endorsement. Jump in with a $3k sign on bonus!

Home on the weekends! This position is responsible for driving a tractor trailer loaded with Helium compressed gas cylinders to deliver to customers on scheduled route. Associate will work on a 60hr/ 7-day schedule.

A typical work week is Monday – Friday (may include weekends during peak season)

This position will include overnighting for 2-3 nights per week or per month depending on the delivery area being covered - hotels provided!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working order
• Safely delivers helium cylinders to customers; returns empty cylinders to fill plant
• Fill helium cylinders at the plant and assist in loading and unloading trailers as needed
• Maintains hazmat load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after all deliveries
• Establishes and maintains great customer relations by communicating in person with customers
• Identifies and monitors customer needs and works with them to maintain proper cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries
• Operates a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
• Complies with all DOT and OSHA regulations
• Maintains appropriate driver's license and certifications/endorsements
• Other duties and projects as assigned
