Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a P&D Driver to pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally in the Richmond area. You will operate a tractor-trailer, perform coupling/uncoupling, and handle loading/unloading with attention to safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a CDL with HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailers endorsements, a minimum 6 months driving experience (1 year preferred), and at least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months driving experience (1 year preferred).
• Valid CDL with HAZMAT, Tanker and Twin Trailers endorsements; no automatic restrictions.
• At least 21 years old.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write in English; perform simple math; handle receipts; read maps and road signs; maintain driving logs.
• Knowledge of and compliance with DOT rules, regulations, and guidelines including hours of service, vehicle inspections, and transport of hazardous materials.
• Passing DOT physical qualifications and alcohol/drug tests is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally as a P&D Driver.
• Perform vehicle coupling/uncoupling and connect lines; adjust equipment.
• Conduct vehicle inspections; load/unload cargo; ensure transport documents are accurate and compliant, especially for hazardous materials.
• Navigate challenging environments with safety and professionalism; report incidents or delays; adhere to safety policies and customer service standards.
