Job summary

Veolia North America, a leader in environmental services, is seeking a Hazardous Waste Technician in Port Arthur, TX. You will sample inbound and outbound tankers, unload hazardous waste, and ensure proper routing under regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include maintaining tank logs, transferring materials between tanks and railcars, and keeping a clean, safe work area. OSHA HAZWOPER certification is required or pursued, with a strong team orientation and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• 1–2 years of related work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sample inbound and outbound tankers; send samples to the laboratory for analysis.
• Use and maintain tank logs and tracking sheets.
• Transfer hazardous material between tank, tank truck, and railcar.
• Maintain and clean filters during offloads as needed.
• Keep a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
