Job summary

Environmental Restoration LLC is seeking a Lasalle-based Heavy Equipment Operator to support hazardous waste cleanup and site remediation efforts. The role involves equipment decontamination, handling of hazardous materials, and operating skid steers, forklifts, dozers, excavators, and backhoes on-site in LaSalle, IL.

Candidates should have 2 years of environmental project experience, be able to pass pre-employment screenings, and be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 2 years of environmental project experience.
• Ability to pass Pre-Employment drug screening, criminal background check, and physical exam.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States (Verified through E-Verify).
• Willingness to obtain OSHA (40 hour) Certification.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis as business needs require.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and wear a respirator.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following PROS - Pause, Review, Observe, Start.
• Performs non-emergency and emergency response activities that deal with biological and chemical materials.
• Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift.
• Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces and at heights.
• Operates light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, dozer, excavators, backhoes.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles, and trailers.
• Have an excellent driving history.
