Job summary

Slicker Recycling is seeking a Site Chemist to support the hazardous waste transfer facility. You will receive, test, and process wastes, ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental compliance while driving productivity improvements.

The role requires a degree in Chemistry or related subject and strong data analysis. You will work with the Site Supervisor and team on waste reception, testing, off-loading, storage and recording, and you will help maintain documentation and comply with ADR

Qualifications

Essential: Degree or HNC in Chemistry or related field.
Computer literate – MS Office proficiency.
Strong numerical, written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical skills with attention to detail and data interpretation.
Self-motivated with ability to prioritise in a time-critical environment.
Full Driving License.
Willingness to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Sampling of vehicles and storage tanks.
General quality analysis and testing of materials; record results for data retrieval.
Raise Non-Conformance reports and implement corrective actions.
Provide technical knowledge to customers and staff.
Ensure samples are correctly identified, stored and disposed of.
Perform routine in-house calibration and equipment verification.
