Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Project Manager to oversee onsite activities at two facilities in the Dayton, OH area, coordinating storage, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. You will supervise onsite personnel and liaise between clients and vendors to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include invoicing and contract management, cost tracking, and quoting potential out-of-scope projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science field, or six years of related experience.
Positive customer service skills and previous experience in hazardous and solid waste industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Background check and drug test clearance required.
HAZWOPER/RCRA/DOT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all onsite activities at client locations for waste storage, transport, and disposal.
Manage client and vendor financial obligations, including invoicing, reporting, and contract management.
Promote safety culture by ensuring site personnel receive proper training and comply with regulations.
Work with clients to identify reuse, reduction, and recycling options to meet waste targets.
Track production, waste, and budget variances and communicate status to clients and Regional Manager.
Read and interpret analytical data used to characterize waste streams.
