Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a laboratory technician to support routine analyses and screening of hazardous wastes. The role involves fingerprinting, organic/inorganic analyses, and ensuring proper stabilization and disposal in line with QA/QC procedures.

Qualified candidates will hold a B.S. in Chemistry and have 1–3 years of hazardous waste-related experience, with a 24-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred. The position emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
• Proficient with common computer programs and software.

Responsibilities

• Performs fingerprint screens and organic/inorganic analyses to characterize hazardous substances.
• Samples incoming bulk loads to determine contents and appropriate disposal.
• Assists with approval paperwork to ensure accurate disposal of hazardous waste.
• Maintains analytical equipment and QA/QC documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Assembles and reports QA/QC data for management review.
• Audits analytical logs to ensure regulatory compliance and completeness.
• Performs additional laboratory analyses as needed.
• Complies with federal, state, and local regulations in waste disposal.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
