Job summary

DLD Environmental Services Inc. is seeking a non-technical processing worker to handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste following safety procedures and quality standards. The role includes required drug screening and background checks, plus a fitness for duty test with a pulmonary function assessment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Experience with basic computer operation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial shredder, extractor, compactor, aerosol puncture device and drum washer.
• Sort non-hazardous waste such as batteries, light bulbs and household paint.
• De-packaging and sorting consumer product.
• Pumping bulk liquids into tanks/tankers.
• Loading and unloading trucks using hand carts/barrel carts.
• Participate in Household Hazardous Waste Collections at customer sites occasionally.
