Job summary

Arcwood Environmental is seeking a Material Handler to load, unload, process and store hazardous and nonhazardous waste at a permitted waste treatment facility. The role emphasizes safety and regulatory adherence while handling materials with pumps, labeling systems, and PPE as required.

The position requires 1+ years of related experience, a high-school diploma or equivalent, and a 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads and processes solid and liquid waste safely in accordance with Company, Federal, State and Local rules and regulations.
• Operates a fork truck and Bobcat with attachments.
• Directs liquid waste through a system of pumps to tanks for storage.
• Performs basic spill cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed.
• Utilizes Arcwood coding and labeling systems to handle and manage containers.
