Job summary

Veolia is seeking a hands-on Waste Handling Technician to perform routine hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks, moving solids and liquids with supervision where required. You will load/unload containers, decontaminate and handle waste materials, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a busy facility.

Qualifications include a GED or high school diploma, 10–12 months in hazardous waste or chemical environments, and certification in forklift and yard truck operation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 10–12 months experience in hazardous waste or chemical industry preferred.
• Proficiency in handling forklifts and a variety of tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload containers (totes, drums, tankers, trailers).
• Construct boxes/containers, label, and load containers.
• Use tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, jackhammers, etc.
