Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Environmental Technician to join a team responsible for consolidating, treating, storing and disposing of hazardous waste in compliance with regulations. The role is physically active, including lifting up to 50 pounds, forklift operation, and working outdoors in varying conditions.

You will complete required documentation, attend to safety PPE, and participate in comprehensive benefits and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods.
• Willingness to wear PPE including safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, treat, store and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with regulations and policies.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Operate forklift and other equipment to move containers to and from storage and treatment areas and to load/unload trailers.
