Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking an Environmental Field Technician I to act as Waste Technician at customer sites. You will apply RCRA, DOT, and EPA regulations to hazardous waste handling, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will perform site inspections, prepare shipping paperwork, and collaborate with leaders to improve processes while maintaining safety and quality in all tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College science background preferred (Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science).
• 1–3 years of related Operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and EPA regulations desired.
• Intermediate Excel and Outlook skills required.

Responsibilities

• Work safely to minimize incidents and accidents.
• Prepare or verify paperwork for shipping hazardous waste.
• Perform site inspections and audits.
• Coordinate waste sampling and submissions to TSDFs.
• Support process improvements with frontline teams.
• Adhere to safety training and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure good customer service.
• Maintain and operate equipment as needed.
