Job summary

Univar Solutions in Hillsboro, OR is seeking an Environmental Field Technician I to act as Waste Technician for customer-site work, coordinating hazardous waste handling in compliance with RCRA, DOT and EPA regulations.

You'll perform site inspections, prepare shipping paperwork, and coordinate pickups with carriers and TSDFs, while maintaining safety and following PPE requirements. Suitable for individuals with a basic science background and 1–3 years of related operations experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Science background in Chemistry/Biology/Environmental Science preferred.
• 1–3 years of related Operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, EPA regulations helpful.
• Microsoft Office skills required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a safe manner with no incidents.
• Follow customer-site rules and company policies.
• Prepare shipping paperwork for hazardous waste.
• Complete site inspections and audits.
• Coordinate waste sampling and transfers to TSDFs.
• Collaborate with leaders to improve processes and safety.
• Adhere to PPE requirements, including Tyvek suits and respirators.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and loading/unloading hazardous materials.
