Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist II - CDL to operate at customer sites, leading safety protocols and hazardous waste packaging according to regulations. The role involves testing, documentation, and coordinating waste shipments with on-site teams.

Responsibilities include onsite inspections, waste characterization, and travel to customer locations. Candidates must have a valid CDL with HAZMAT, 40-hour HAZWOPER, and respirator fit certification to support field

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of chemistry principles and waste processing & treatment protocols.
• Familiarity with Federal & State environmental and transportation regulations (DOT, OSHA, RCRA).
• Experience performing proper waste sampling and creating accurate waste characterizations.

Responsibilities

• Leads collection, characterization & packaging of customer waste for final disposal.
• Safely transports customer waste in compliance with Federal & facility regulations.
• Prepares paperwork: Packing Lists, Waste Labels & Shipping Documents.
• Provides on-site support: inspections, waste collection, inventory management & outbound shipments.
• Identifies contents via field tests and provides detailed on-site waste inventories.
• Travel to customer locations as needed.
