Job summary

Environmental Restoration LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator to be based on site in Buffalo, NY, assisting with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

Responsibilities include operating light and heavy equipment, performing routine maintenance, and loading/unloading gear with a focus on safety. Candidates must meet shooting requirements and be able to work on-call with a respirator, CDL/HAZWOPER background preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of environmental project experience
• Willingness to obtain OSHA (40 hour) Certification
• Ability to work on-call
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Regularly lift and carry 50 pounds
• Legally eligible to work in the United States (E-Verify)
• Pass a Pre-Employment drug screening, criminal background check, and physical exam

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following PROS – Pause, Review, Observe, Start
• Performs non-emergency and emergency response activities that deal with biological and chemical materials
• Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift
• Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces and at heights
• Operates light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, dozer, excavators, backhoes
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles, and trailers
• Have an excellent driving history
