Job summary

Veolia in North America is hiring for a Hazwoper technician to work on-site at various retail stores in the Denver area, performing hazardous waste and pharmaceutical waste characterization in compliance with DOT, EPA and DEA regulations.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and fluency in English. Travel between facilities is required, with duties including lab pack processing, manifests, and regulatory reporting to customers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are required.
• Class A CDL is mandatory, minimum age 21.

Responsibilities

• Travel between customer retail facilities within assigned territory.
• Manage hazardous waste and pharmaceutical waste onsite and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Process lab packs and prepare manifests and LDRs for waste shipments.
• Maintain expenses and travel schedules to meet 10-day transfer timelines.
• Provide training and support for customers on processes and regulatory requirements.
• Submit written and verbal reports to customers and supervisors.
