Job summary

Veolia North America is hiring for a hazardous waste technician to perform remediation and disposal services in compliance with all regulations. The role includes sample waste streams, packaging, labeling, loading, and coordinating transportation, with on-call emergency response including nights and weekends.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED; a degree in Chemistry preferred; and a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, plus a valid driver's license and potential CDL endorsement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies.
• Package, label, and coordinate loading/unloading and transport.
• On Call Emergency Response including nights & weekends.
• Comply with DOT/EPA and VES-TS regulations for waste disposal paperwork.
• Maintain professional image and communicate with clients.
