Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a transportation and disposal specialist to provide expert waste handling services for clients. You will manifest, package, respond to spills, label, load/unload, and coordinate transportation while ensuring compliance with federal and company policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Class A/B CDL with Hazardous endorsement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities; ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency with computers and willingness to follow through on assignments.

Responsibilities

• Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
• Manifesting, packaging, spill clean-up response and remedial activities, labeling, loading, off loading, and coordinating transportation.
• Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions to existing/potential problems.
• Comply with all compliance, health, safety, and procedures in accordance with VES-TS policies.
• Familiarize with DOT/EPA and VES-TS regulations for submitting paperwork to expedite disposal of hazardous waste.
• Operate and maintain all equipment in a professional manner to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness.
• Other duties as assigned.
