Job summary

Clean Harbors in St. Louis, MO is seeking an Environmental General Laborer to support field tasks including hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, and decontamination.

Responsibilities include strict safety adherence, physical labor, operation of equipment, PPE usage, and the possibility of emergency response assignments. Training and growth opportunities are provided as part of a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical functions per responsibilities.
• Must successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical.
• Must meet facial hair standards per OSHA Respiratory Protection.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use various hand tools and powered tools.
• Wear and properly use a variety of PPE including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste and observe regulatory requirements.
• Climb ladders and scaffolding and work at elevations.
• Be on-call for emergency response on a rotating basis and assist in site remediation and decontamination.
