Clean Harbors in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking an Environmental Field Laborer to join our safety-conscious team. This role will perform field tasks related to hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

The position requires a driver's license, ability to travel up to 50% overnight, and willingness to work long hours with overtime. Training through a two-week academy out of state is provided, with expenses covered by the company.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to participate in emergency response and occasional weekend work.
• Must pass background check, drug test, and medical exam per position.

Responsibilities

• Perform hazardous waste clean-up and site remediation tasks.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and various hand tools.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines to minimize exposure to hazards.
• Attend compliance and safety meetings and participate in training.
