Job summary

SBM Management Services is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. This role requires performing daily janitorial tasks, following a schedule, and adhering to safety protocols.

Candidates should be able to operate cleaning equipment, handle hazardous waste tasks, and work well within a team. Weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 2PM-10:30PM) offer hourly compensation as listed.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3-6 months training or experience preferred.
• Know cleaning methods and equipment; willing to share with team.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe use.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Handle hazardous waste: collection, classification, sorting, storage, shipping, receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Work in a team with other staff.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Follow company procedures and rules.
• Take direction from supervision.
• Communicate professionally with staff and customers.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead with punch-lists.
• Use proper PPE.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and reporting systems.
