Job summary

Arcwood Environmental is seeking a Field Chemist to sort and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring safety and compatibility for each service. The role reports to the Field Office and supports projects regionally, with daily travel and field site work.

Required is an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) and a clean driving record; a Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement must be obtained within 6 months. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience if no degree required.
• Valid Driver's License; ability to obtain Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies and maintaining safe practices at all times.
• Assists in segregation of chemicals by hazard class and packs compatible materials for transport; completes necessary paperwork.
• Travels to various sites to perform lab pack services and assist in field projects.
• Assists in characterizing materials at field project sites.
• Adheres to placarding and load segregation requirements when transporting hazardous materials.
• Communicates effectively with site points of contact and customers.
