Job summary

Maluliku General Contracting in Hawaii is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead projects from preconstruction through completion, taking ownership of every phase while on-site in Hilo.

You will manage budgets, schedules, costs, and profitability; coordinate with the GC, subcontractors, vendors, and clients; review plans and contracts; and oversee procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in CM, Civil Eng, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong knowledge of estimating, budgets, contracts, change orders, and costs.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, blueprints, and building codes.
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, schedules, and project docs.
• Leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to Hawaii project sites.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, costs, and overall profitability.
• Coordinate closely with the GC, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
• Manage procurement, subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Lead project and client meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
• Monitor project quality, safety, schedule, and financial performance.
• Manage project closeout, including punch lists, as-builts, warranties, and final documentation.
