Job summary

Hawaii Family Portraits seeks a General Manager & Lead Photographer to run the operation, resort partnerships, and schedule across the Kohala/Kona coast. 80% business, 20% camera work. You’ll lead a small team, coach staff, and maintain guest experiences.

You will personally shoot sessions, manage VIP clients, and own revenue targets with a base salary plus commissions and profit share. The role rewards performance with strong seasonal volume.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of team management in hospitality or seasonal service.
• Strong portrait portfolio in beach/outdoor settings.
• Experience owning a revenue target and analyzing P&L.
• Comfort engaging guests and guiding staff.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of photographers and front-desk staff.
• Own monthly sales numbers: session volume, AOV, upsell.
• Manage resort partnerships and serve as primary contact.
• Build and run session/event schedule including luau coverage.
• Personally shoot sessions to fill gaps and handle VIPs.
• Oversee guest experience and cost control.
• Manage labor, COGS, and marketing efficiency against P&L.
