Job summary

Republic Services seeks an Operations Manager - Hauling to lead a dispersed team across collections, delivery and pickup for commercial, industrial and residential customers. You will oversee Supervisors, Dispatchers, Clerks, Drivers and Helpers to align with local market strategies and safety standards.

You will drive productivity, optimize routes, manage labor and disposal costs, and partner with the General Manager to implement initiatives that support growth and sustainable profitability.

Responsibilities

• Manage a staff including hiring, coaching and performance management.
• Execute plans aligning with the business unit's strategy to maximize growth and profitability.
• Ensure productivity and route management for commercial, roll-off and residential sectors.
• Interact with customers and government entities to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
• Oversee safety programs to prevent accidents and maintain a productive workplace.
• Approve expenses and manage department budget including POs and vendor pricing.
