Tyson Foods in Tennessee Hatchery, Lafayette is hiring for a 3rd shift position. The duties include pulling chicks, cleaning trays, and operating hatchery equipment. The job requires heavy lifting and strict biosecurity rules, with overtime and holiday work expected.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no more than 6 months of employment gaps in the past 36 months.
• If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
• Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Pulls chicks and places for processing; disposes of substandard chicks.
• Operates high pressure washer to clean trays and dollies; sanitizes equipment.
• Reads temperatures and humidity in incubators every three hours.
• Maintains clean and organized work area; read temperature and humidity in setters.
