Job summary

Perdue Foods in Salisbury, MD is seeking a Hatchery Production Associate to support incubation, hatching, and chick care. The role maintains precise environmental conditions to deliver a high-quality product to Perdue Farms growers. Base rate is $16.95 per hour with premiums, overtime, and a potential annual bonus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Reading and writing skills required.

Responsibilities

Receive, set, and transfer approximately 991,440 eggs per week with minimal damage.
Clean and sanitize hatchery facilities, including hatchers, setters, evaporative coolers, heaters and ducts.
Operate tray wash and separator machines to maximize throughput and minimize product damage.
Transport and process approximately 250,000 chicks daily with accurate distribution and quality control.
Follow management directions and SOPs while fostering teamwork and morale.
