Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Hatchery Production Associate to support the incubation, hatching, and care of high-quality chicks. The role requires attention to environmental conditions and precise execution of hatchery procedures to ensure superior product quality for Perdue Farms growers.

The position offers a base rate of $17.00 per hour, with opportunities for pay premiums, shift differentials and overtime where applicable, plus an annual bonus dependent on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reading and writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, set, and transfer approximately 991,440 eggs per week with minimal damage.
• Clean and sanitize the hatchery, including 68 hatchers/setters and 37 evaporative coolers.
• Operate tray wash and separator equipment for maximum throughput with minimal product damage.
• Transport and process about 250,000 chicks daily with accurate distribution and quality control.
• Follow management directions and SOPs while fostering team morale.
