Job summary

Perdue Farms in Hurlock, MD is seeking a Hatchery Production Associate on the 2nd shift. You will support incubation, hatching, and chick care while following strict safety and quality standards to deliver healthy chicks to growers.

You'll work 4:30pm–1:00am, handle high-volume tasks, monitor equipment, and maintain clean hatchery conditions. The role offers a base pay of $17.00 per hour plus premiums, overtime opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reading and writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, set, and transfer approximately 991,440 eggs per week with minimal damage.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize hatchery facilities and equipment as directed.
• Operate tray wash and separator machines to maximize throughput with minimal damage.
• Safely transport and process approximately 250,000 chicks daily with quality control.
• Follow management direction and SOPs to support team morale and efficiency.
