Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Concord, NC is seeking a Hatchery Worker to support quality control, animal welfare and safety programs. You’ll ensure eggs are correctly handled, monitor equipment, and assist with set-up and clean-up of hatchery operations.

Must be capable of working in extreme heat (100+ degrees), lifting 50 lbs+, standing for long periods and following all safety policies. Training provided; willingness to cross-train and cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to work in a high-heat environment and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to cross-train and cover shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hatchery quality control program and safety initiatives.
• Ensure correct eggs are pulled and placed into hatchers.
• Set up and clean up of hatchery areas and equipment.
• Maintain documentation for transfer and processing and vaccine tracking.
• Follow company policies, observe safety, quality and food safety standards.
