Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a hatchery team member to support quality control, egg handling and processing, and daily maintenance of hatchery operations. The role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following safety and sanitation procedures across shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Training will be provided; strong English communication is preferred, and the candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision while supporting team objectives.

Qualifications

• Training provided by automation and incubation vendors and internal trainers.
• Ability to communicate effectively to maintain harmony with co-workers.
• Must be able to work the schedule outlined above.
• Must not raise any poultry or birds.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English preferred

Responsibilities

• Partake in hatchery quality control, animal welfare, biosecurity and safety programs.
• Ensure correct eggs are pulled and placed into hatchers.
• Work in environments of high temperatures and strong odors.
• Operate and monitor machines; document findings and notify maintenance when needed.
• Maintain detailed documentation on transfer, processing and vaccine tracking.
• Stay until all hatchery duties are complete and assist with absences as needed
