Tyson Foods is seeking a Hatchery Operations Supervisor to oversee daily hatchery activities, ensure timely chick deliveries, and manage logistics and equipment performance. You will supervise staff, monitor incubation and environmental controls, and coordinate vaccinations as part of ongoing operations.

The role requires hands-on leadership, adherence to biosecurity policies, and the ability to maintain accurate records and logs for drivers and shipments.

Qualifications

• Education: Post-high school education including special training, vocational school, or college courses.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in a hatchery setting or live production area.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
• Travel: 1-2 trips per year.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise personnel in a single department or work unit.

Responsibilities

• Documentation: Complete chick delivery sheets, flock pull sheets, and mortality charts. Keep logs on truck miles and hours worked by drivers.
• Logistics: Ensure the movement of chicks to farms according to the shipment schedule.
• Equipment Monitoring: Oversee incubation, hatchery, and environmental control equipment.
• Supervision: Supervise personnel on a daily basis.
• Egg Grading: Grade fleets of eggs from hen farms.
• Vaccination: Prepare vaccines for chickens.
